Enterprise Integration Engineering
Oracle PL/SQL · Java · REST APIs · JSON/XML · ETL · SQL
Designing and supporting enterprise integrations, backend services, and data pipelines that connect operational systems, databases, reporting platforms, and business workflows.
What I Work On
My professional work focuses on integrating complex enterprise systems and making data move reliably between applications.
At CGI, I develop and support Oracle-based backend solutions, REST and messaging integrations, ETL processes, scheduled jobs, reporting solutions, and high-volume data workflows. I also work across testing, troubleshooting, implementation, and production support.
Typical Integration Challenges
System-to-System Integration
Enterprise applications often need to exchange data across systems that were designed independently.
My work includes building integrations using:
– REST APIs
– JSON and XML messaging
– middleware
– database interfaces
– ETL processes
– scheduled backend jobs
– SFTP and file-based exchanges
The goal is not simply moving data, but ensuring that mappings, validation, error handling, and downstream behavior are reliable.
Oracle Backend Development
A significant part of my work involves Oracle and PL/SQL.
I design and maintain:
– packages
– procedures
– functions
– triggers
– views
– complex SQL and PL/SQL
– scheduled processes
– database-driven integration logic
These solutions support enterprise applications where data integrity and predictable transaction processing are critical.
Data Pipelines & Processing
I build backend processes for moving and transforming data between systems, including high-volume and scheduled workflows.
That includes thinking about:
– data validation
– transformations and mappings
– transaction boundaries
– retry behavior
– exception handling
– monitoring
– reconciliation
– performance
Performance & Reliability
Enterprise integration work frequently requires troubleshooting beyond a single application.
I work across database, application, integration, and data layers to diagnose failures and improve reliability.
My experience also includes SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning, including work that reduced complex query execution times by approximately 30%.
From Design Through Production
My role extends beyond writing code.
I produce functional and technical designs covering architecture, data mappings, validation rules, error handling, and deployment requirements.
I also coordinate with:
– business stakeholders
– QA teams
– application developers
– database administrators
– technical leads
That allows me to follow an integration through the full lifecycle from requirement and design through implementation and production troubleshooting.

What This Work Demonstrates
Enterprise integration requires understanding more than one technology. It requires understanding how applications, databases, interfaces, business rules, and operational processes behave together.
This work demonstrates:
– enterprise system integration
– Oracle database development
– API and messaging architecture
– backend service development
– data transformation and ETL
– performance tuning
– production troubleshooting
– technical documentation
– cross-functional collaboration
– end-to-end software delivery
